the five 30s is an artist book created for my husband’s birthday after sharing five of them together – his birthday is on the 30th. The pages are displayed across a shelf like a collection of records, which they are – moments of history versus moments of music. The pages weave together elements from the beginning of our life together, including the birth of our son, travels to Germany, visits to museums and galleries, and the ordinary experiences that gradually become the foundation of a shared life. The work reflects how memory is assembled through fragments, each moment complete on its own while contributing to a larger story.
