This artist book was created as the signing book for my older sister’s wedding, combining handmade paper, printmaking, and hand bookbinding into a deeply personal object. My love of artist books began while studying at Pratt Institute, where I interned at The Center for Book Arts in New York City and discovered a lasting passion for the book as both artwork and vessel. The pages were formed from handmade paper using a Hässelblad paper mill at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, where I was working as a master printer. I lithographed the signature lines, hand-colored each flower, printed the etching for the cover, and bound the book using archival materials. Created to mark a family milestone, the book reflects my enduring belief that artist books can preserve memory through both craftswomanship and use.
