nourishmen.t uses the language of food and domestic labor to examine the gendered expectations embedded within acts of care. The title plays on the phrase “nourish men,” pointing to longstanding cultural assumptions that position women as providers, caretakers, and sustainers of others. Drawing from domestic imagery and household forms, the work considers the ways nourishment extends beyond food to include emotional support, attention, comfort, and service. These expectations are often presented as natural expressions of femininity, obscuring the labor required to maintain them.
