fractured figures +x explores identity as something layered, constructed, and continually reshaped through experience, bringing together fragments of bodies, domestic objects, and book pages to create forms that exist between figure and artifact. The stitched seams remain visible, emphasizing both rupture and repair rather than concealment. I am interested in the ways personal histories are assembled from incomplete memories, inherited narratives, and everyday experiences. In these works, fragmentation becomes a method of construction rather than loss. The figures emerge through accumulation, carrying traces of labor, care, vulnerability, and resilience. fractured figures +x considers how identity is formed through what is gathered, altered, mended, and carried forward.
