trainer weeds is a series created during a train journey from Albuquerque to San Diego with my children. Made from the window of a moving train, the images capture passing trains, tracks, and landscapes that exist only for an instant before disappearing from view. The photographs explore movement, rhythm, and the formal relationships of line, shape, light, and repetition that emerge through travel. Working within the constraints of constant motion, the camera records fleeting compositions that could not be carefully arranged or revisited, embracing chance as an essential part of the process. The series reflects my ongoing fascination with the extraordinary visual moments embedded within everyday experience. By looking closely at what passes by almost unnoticed, trainer weeds invites viewers to consider the beauty found in transience, attention, and the changing view from a moving world.
