still domesticity is a collaborative video installation created with another artist during our early years of motherhood. Through quiet recordings of everyday routines, the work observes the stillness, solitude, and unexpected beauty found within domestic life. Rather than focusing on dramatic events, the video lingers on ordinary moments that often pass unnoticed yet shape the rhythm of caring for young children. The installation invited visitors to crawl through blankets into a fort-like space reminiscent of those built in childhood. Surrounded by pillows, blankets, and suspended stuffed animals, viewers could lie down and watch the projection from within an environment of comfort, memory, and play. The immersive setting transformed the gallery into a childlike domestic refuge. Motherhood is a series of intimate, often invisible moments. This work invites viewers to pause within the tenderness, isolation, and wonder of everyday family life.
