welcome to alexa wheeler & ToastLab

ToastLab is in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is the art studio of Alexa Wheeler. This place is the compilation of my work so far. I am a woman, an artist, a professor, a mother, a partner, a sibling, a friend, a citizen, and an endless investigator in human relationships – those I share with other people, those other people share with each other, and how we collectively create human connection. I believe the goal of creating inherently is the growth of empathy- for ourselves, for others, and for the growing communities we find ourselves being part of.
