Welcome to ToastLab!

ToastLab is in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is the art studio of Alexa Wheeler. This place is the compilation of my work so far, as an artist and as a professor of Fine Art at the University of New Mexico – Valencia Campus. I am a woman, an artist, a professor, a mother, a partner, a sibling, a friend, a citizen, and an endless investigator in myself and the relationships I share with other people. I hope that will never end- I can’t imagine that it’s possible! I believe the goal of creating inherently is the growth of empathy- for ourselves, for others, and for the growing communities we find ourselves being part of. I appreciate you being here.
